Typography Site-Dish

Lacking creative juice is a bitch. You can either close that Untitled.psd, and call it a day. Or you can take five, and look at some inspirational blogs and galleries to refuel yourself. So I'm going to get a little list going here. I'll add to it whenever I'm aware of new type-related sites, and forever keep it as a link in my future journals. These are excellent sites, enjoy!

We Love Typography

Quite like FFFFound (also a great inspirational site for allsorts), WLT is a gallery full of type inspiration, updated daily by the type know-it-alls around the internet.

I love Typography

We Love Typography's big brother, in glorious blog form. Johno, the author, updates this site regularly with type related articles, interviews, and the very popular "The Week in Type," a showcase of type findings around the web.

IMG SPARK

This is an image tagging site, mostly used for design & photography, another site similar to FFFFound & We Love Typography. The typography tagged section is especially popular, and is updated daily with awesomeness.

Typography Served

This is a very special website, more-so similar to Behance than anything else. This is where the real professionals upload their typography work, usually with "start to finish" images, and renditions on print.

Woodtyper

Now this is really something. If you're like me, and you have a soft spot for wood type, and decorative typefounding, this website is second to none.

MyFonts

I've mentioned this website in a previous journal. It's basically a type supermarket, selling typefaces and families from designers in ever corner of the world. Careful though, your wallet will start getting thinner, in the event of you taking a liking to this wonderland.

Ministry of Type

Ministry of Type is the weblog of Aegir Hallmundur, about type, typography, lettering, calligraphy and other related things that inspire him. This site houses some excellent observations of type, and must be bookmarked!

Typophile

After all of these blogs and galleries, it's time to focus on forums! Typophile is the forum of type, with design & critique boards, as well as community projects and resources.

Designworklife

I only discovered this gem a few days ago, it's mostly a design inspiration gallery, but also houses a lot of type finds. In fact, if you scroll down, you'll see that typography is the biggest tag in the cloud.

That's all I've got I'm afraid! My short descriptions of these websites are no match for the sites myself. Take time to discover some awesome typography. Enjoy, and inspire yourself!

Keep kerning!
